Project Telia Building

In 2016, Telia Company will move into its new, spectacular head office at Stjärntorget, a stone's throw from the entrance to the Arenastaden commuter train station. All materials and solutions are selected with the utmost care to fit Telia's activity-based approach to work.

Expansive views for Telia Company

In 2016, Telia Company will move into its new, spectacular head office at Stjärntorget, a stone's throw from the entrance to the Arenastaden commuter train station. The property is one of the tallest buildings in the area. Visitors and employees will be fascinated, especially by the view and the glazed courtyard.

The property's façade consists of a mosaic of different types of glass: clear glass, screen-printed glass, mirror glass and dense façade glass. The façades are glazed from table height and up. The view is magnificent. Depending on the position of the sun, the surface changes throughout the day, like a beautiful kaleidoscope.

Just across from the Mall of Scandinavia

The Telia buildings are connected by an inner square and their three atriums are located 25 metres above the surrounding area, on top of the Mall of Scandinavia. The atriums house common areas such as conference and meeting rooms, training facilities, cafes and restaurants.

The top office floor is 58 metres above ground. Before visitors enter the office floors, they are thrilled by the view of the atrium and Arenastaden from the lifts.

The building is divided into different volumes: higher towards the railway, lower and more small-scale units towards Stjärntorget. This enables daylight to reach every part of the building. Daylight is supplemented by lighting, which is largely presence-controlled for good energy efficiency.

Tailor-made for flexible working

All materials and solutions are selected with the utmost care to fit Telia's activity-based approach to work. They include quiet rooms for individual work, meeting and project rooms of various sizes, touch-down seats, sofas and bar tables. The flexible office floors have a ceiling height of 2.80 metres throughout.

Environmental awareness in every detail

TeliaSonera's new headquarters are designed to meet the requirements of the environmental classification system BREEAM-SE, at level Excellent. The buildings' flexible floor plan and space-efficient office premises also result in a reduced environmental footprint.

Toilets and taps are water-saving devices that reduce water consumption. There are solar cell systems on the roof. Parts of the roofs are green roofs, covered by vegetation, which is both beautiful and contributes to biodiversity.

All materials are selected to take into account service life, maintenance requirements and the impact on the environment at large. Opportunities for recycling will be good with fractions of several different types of waste.

BREEAM-SE covers the entire construction process, from the demolition of the previous building through the new building's energy consumption, indoor air quality, water and waste management to the impact on the local environment and the building's location relative to transport services.

A building for cyclists

People are increasingly choosing to cycle to work, both for the environment and to keep in shape. Telia Company's Head Office supports this transport choice by providing secure, lockable bicycle parking under roof.
