Sweden's first winery hotel
Järva Krog in Solna is the home of Sweden's first winery hotel. With 184 rooms, the Winery Hotel offers its visitors own winemaking, a wine bar, deli, a restaurant and Sweden's largest wine cellar with samples from all corners of the wine world.
The new hotel has been developed as a response to the sharply increased interest in wine and wine making. The architecture, with brick elements and large windows, is reminiscent of a large market hall full of life around the clock. The meeting concept of the covered market environment focusing on events is completely new. The hotel roof, overlooking Brunnsviken and Haga, house a gym and a pool.
The building is planned with the aim of achieving BREEAM-SE environmental certification at the Very Good level, with energy efficiency and consideration of the environmental impact of the materials as the core features.
Own winery with its heart of Tuscany
The winery's own wine production is estimated to reach 8,000 bottles a year. In order to assure the quality of the process, the Winery Hotel has hired one of Italy's foremost oenologist, Luca Rettondini, production manager at the winery Le Macchiole in Tuscany, as adviser. Together with Swedish winemaker Johan Zälle from the Högberga winery, this guarantees wine production of the highest class.
The Winery Hotel's unique offering is attracting visitors from all over Sweden.
