SBAB to move to Solna Business Park

When looking for new premises, SBAB ultimately selected Solna Business Park, a dense business district near Stockholm. The approximately 4,300 square metre lease will run for 10 years and is a Green Lease, which entails that both parties will aim to identify operating solutions that are resource-efficient and environmentally smart. The property is environmentally classified and is located on the main street in Solna Business Park. SBAB will relocate its 220 employees from Östermalm in central Stockholm to the new premises no later than 1 November.

“We chose Solna Business Park because we found the perfect premises there for creating workplace mobility, interaction, spontaneous meetings and various ways of working. In addition, resource efficiency and a small eco-footprint are important for us,” says Klas Danielsson, CEO at SBAB.

Solna Business Park is located five kilometres from central Stockholm and has excellent public transport connections thanks to the nearby Sundbyberg Station. A wide range of services support local companies and employees, and many major Swedish companies – including ICA, Coop and Evry – have chosen to establish their headquarters here. The area also became a talking point in 2014 when Pontus Frithiof, a star Swedish restaurateur, opted to open his restaurant, Pontus in the Park, right here.

“We’re very pleased to welcome SBAB to Solna Business Park. There are already many vibrant companies doing business here with each other, and a robust financial player like SBAB strengthens the business climate,” says Klaus Hansen Vikström, Deputy CEO and Head of Business Development at Fabege.
