Stockholm Environment Institute moves to Textiltorget in Hammarby Sjöstad

Fabege has signed a lease agreement with SEI, Stockholm Environment Institute, for approximately 1,426 sqm of premises in Hammarby Sjöstad. Occupancy is scheduled to take place on 1 October 2025, and the agreement has a duration of 5 years. The property Påsen 1, which has the concept name Textiltorget, is being certified according to BREEAM-SE Bespoke with the Excellent level.

The area is hugely vibrant, due to its central location in Hammarby Sjöstad, close to tram and metro links at Mårtensdal and Gullmarsplan. Transport options will be further improved in 2030, when a new metro line opens.

“We are very much looking forward to moving to our new office in Hammarby Sjöstad. Providing a sustainable and attractive office in a good location is more important for employers than ever, and our new office in Textiltorget will fulfil the needs and wishes of our employees and the business, says Måns Nilsson, CEO of SEI.

Textiltorget is a renovated ex-industrial building with a preserved original character and a wooden extension; it was originally built in 1955. Fabege has already signed lease agreements in the property with Bengt Dahlgren AB, Rundquist Arkitekter, MNO International and Röhnisch; following signing of the lease agreement with SEI, approximately 3,650 sqm remain to be let. The occupancy rate of the property is thus 62%.

“We are very pleased that SEI has chosen to move into Textiltorget. The first tenants moved into their office premises in November and it is great to see the building really coming to life. There is considerable interest from the market as a result of the property's unique character and attractive location,” says Johanna Andersson, Leasing Manager Property Management at Fabege.
