The largest arena in the Nordics is renamed Strawberry Arena
On July 12th, the naming rights agreement between Strawberry and Stockholm Live came into effect concerning the national arena in Solna, and the arena is renamed to Strawberry Arena. As a co-owner of the arena, we are very much looking forward to the collaboration with Strawberry, which is a strong and locally engaged partner.
The arena was the starting point for the development of Arenastaden and continues to be an important catalyst for the area's strong appeal. Studies show that the location and context of the surrounding area have become increasingly important when companies choose where to establish their offices.
Strawberry Arena is the home arena for both the Swedish men's national football team and AIK Fotboll's men's team. Just in the past two years, the arena has hosted world-renowned artists such as Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and The Rolling Stones, and in the coming weeks, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, Pink, and Morgan Wallen will take the stage. Additionally, Strawberry Arena is a destination for events such as Techarenan, eCarExpo, and Sweden International Horse Show.
To date, Arenastaden includes over 30,000 workplaces and approximately 5,000 residents, and we are only halfway through the urban development of the area. The green subway line from Odenplan to Arenastaden will commence operation in 2028.
Strawberry is also renaming the hotel directly connected to the arena, from Quality Hotel Friends to Quality Hotel Strawberry Arena.
Facts: Fabege owns the arena together with the Swedish Football Association via Arenabolaget i Solna AB. Stockholm Live is the arena operator.
