Textiltorget c/o Fabege

At the entrance to Västra Sjöstaden, close to most amenities, is Textiltorget – an upgraded industrial building with timber-framed extensions.

At Textiltorget, you'll become neighbors with Bengt Dahlgren AB, Rundquist Arkitekter, MNO International, and Röhnisch. Originally constructed in 1955, the building has now been given a new "outfit" while preserving its original character—much like an exclusive vintage garment tailored to meet all the needs of the modern era.

BREEAM-SE - Excellent

The building is certified under BREEAM-SE, level “Excellent”, which is an ambitious level of certification for an existing building that is being remodelled.

  • Reducing the project’s climate impact through carefully chosen materials and reuse. Major parts of the building are being retained and we have also incorporated recycled materials from our recycling hub. Some materials from the building that we did not reuse within the project have been reused in Fabege's other projects via our recycling hub.
  • Low energy use, about 36.5 per cent lower than BBR requirements for new construction. We have switched to energy-efficient windows with effective solar shading and use energy-efficient technology systems with smart control and solar cells.
  • Bicycle parking, bike wash, bike workshop and changing facilities.
  • Facilities for waste sorting on the same floor.
  • Charging facilities in all car parking spaces.
  • Green roofs and planting in the ground.
  • Possibilities for cultivation on terraces.

An upgraded industrial building

Påsen 1 block was built in 1955 for Gottfried Westlings Ask and Påsfabrik. The architect was Karl G-H Karlsson. A building with its own individual character in the industrial area of Hammarby Sjöstad that is now being transformed into new neighbourhoods with housing, offices, parks and business premises.

The neighbourhood around Textiltorget will be an attractive workplace that promotes a healthy working environment and lifestyle. Offices that charge the batteries rather than draining them.
